ABSTRACT Salvia miltiorrhiza produces pharmacologically bioactive diterpenoid tanshinones which are regulated by jasmonate (JA) and abscisic acid (ABA) signalling, while their crosstalk in this process remains unclear. Here, we demonstrated that MeJA and ABA acted synergistically to enhance tanshinone biosynthesis.

Identification of the Inhibition Effects of Some Natural Antiproliferative Agents on CA-I, CA-II, and AChE Activities Isolated from Human Erythrocytes by Kinetic and Molecular Docking Studies [PDF]
Nowadays the determination of inhibitors of carbonic anhydrase isoenzymes (CAs) have become one of the main goals of drug design studies, and inhibitors of CAs have taken their place in clinical applications to be used in the treatment and diagnosis of ...

Summary Plants produce a variety of secondary metabolites, and their biosynthesis is often regulated by multiple transcription factors. However, the potential connections between the biosynthesis of different types of metabolites remain unclear. In this study, we present a novel mechanism in which the MYB39‐MYB111‐bHLH51‐TTG1 module synergistically ...

Targeting MAN1B1 potently enhances bladder cancer antitumor immunity via deglycosylation of CD47
Abstract Background Only a few bladder cancer patients benefit from anti‐programmed cell death protein 1/programmed cell death ligand 1 immunotherapy. The cluster of differentiation 47 (CD47) plays an important role in tumor immune evasion. CD47 is a highly glycosylated protein, however, the mechanisms governing CD47 glycosylation and its potential ...

15,16‐Dihydrotanshinone I, a natural product, protects ischemic stroke by inhibiting ferroptosis
Background/Aims Ischemic stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. Early intervention of cell death in the penumbra can greatly reduce the infarct volume, thereby, alleviating the ischemic progress.

PDIA4 is significantly upregulated in response to nutrient overload in pancreatic β‐cells, resulting in aberrant ROS production, β‐cell failure, and diabetes. PDIA4 facilitates cancer development by inhibiting caspase‐mediatedcell death in cancer and promoting VEGF‐mediated protumoral immunity andangiogenesis in the tumor microenvironment, highlighting

Colletotrichum graminicola produces two distinct asexual spore types: falcate conidia and oval conidia. Our study demonstrates that oval conidia possess adaptations that enable them to infect roots. ABSTRACT Colletotrichum graminicola, the maize anthracnose fungus, is known for its ability to invade above‐ground tissues.
