Analysis of Deformation Characteristics of Dikes on Deep Soft Soil Foundations
The deformation of dikes directly affects the safety of dikes, especially for dikes on deep soft soil foundations, whose deformation is often large, and thus it is often used as the main evaluation index of dike safety.By the reconstruction project of a ...

Le rôle du noos/noein dans la pensée d’Hésiode et sa signification dans Les Travaux et les Jours
By studying the history of noos/noein in Greek archaic thought, researchers often read Hesiod like Homer but there seem to be some Hesiodic charasteristics in description of noos.

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Cracking the Code: Genotype–Phenotype Correlation Models in Sarcoglycanopathies
ABSTRACT Objective Sarcoglycanopathies are among the most severe limb‐girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMD), though milder presentations have been described. These diseases are primarily caused by missense variants, but the limited predictability of their effect on protein maturation, complex formation, and transport has hindered reliable genotype ...

Laboratory study of the combined wave and surge overtopping-induced normal stress on dike
Normal stress on dikes is one of the most critical parameters for a sound dike design. With more rapidly rising sea levels due to global warming, dikes are seriously threatened by overtopping induced by the combination of wave and storm surge.

Feasibility of Nitrogen as a Carrier Gas for Inconel Cold Spray in Hydropower Application
N2, despite being nearly two orders of magnitude cheaper than He, is a feasible carrier gas for cold spray Inconel coatings in hydropower repair applications when higher gas temperature and pressure are used. Reducing powder size significantly improved cavitation resistance, while the addition of fine chromium carbide particles further enhanced erosion

Optimization of the Geometric Parameters of the Protective Spur Dike using Taguchi Method and GRA.
In general, engineering designs need to optimize the factors affecting the under-study phenomenon; however, this is often a costly and time-consuming process.
