Pyogenic Discitis in Female after Delivery and Pelvic Surgery

Background: Pyogenic discitis most frequently occurs after home delivery, hemorridectomy, and dilatation and curettage. Discitis is generally due to blood borne bacterial invasion of the disc from adjacent end-plate via communicating vessels.
