The Characterization and Evaluation of Dimensional Stability for Highly Stable Composites

open access: yesIEEE Access
In this study, we explored the dimensional stability of high-performance carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) under regulated thermal conditions. This study systematically examined the interplay between temperature variations and structural response ...

Multi-dimensional perovskites with improved thermal stability

open access: yes, 2022
Methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI3) has revolutionized the photovoltaic field thanks to its excellent optoelectronic properties. Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) based on MAPbI3, even reaching high power conversion efficiencies (PCE), suffers from ambient instability under external factors such as heat.

Dipolar interactions and thermal stability of two-dimensional nanoparticle arrays [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2008
We show results of Monte Carlo simulations of an array of monodispersed magnetic monodomain particles, in a square lattice with dipolar interactions and perpendicular uniaxial anisotropy. We first show the equilibrium phase diagram of the system, which shows three phases, superparamagnetic (SP), out-of-plane antiferromagnetic and in-plane ...

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.

Olive Cellulosic Fibre Based Epoxy Composites: Thermal and Dynamic Mechanical Properties

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers, 2022
This study deals with the evaluation of the impact of three different olive tree residues: olive tree small branch (OTS), olive tree big brunch (OTB) and olive tree leaves (OTL) as a filler on thermal properties of olive/epoxy biocomposites.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
