Measurement of neutral sulfuric acid-dimethylamine clusters using CI-APi-TOF-MS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Recent studies suggest that dimethylamine could be a key ternary species in the formation and early growth of atmospheric aerosol particles. We report on nucleation studies for the ternary system of sulfuric acid, water and dimethylamine which have been ...

Push–Pull Ynamines and Push–Pull Ynamides: Synthesis, Structure, Reactivity, and Application

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Push–pull ynamines and push–pull ynamides, which carry an EWG and an amino or amido group as EDG, are highly interesting classes of EDG‐EWG alkynes that have been intensively studied due to their exceptional reactivity. In this review, the synthesis, structure, reactivity, and application of push–pull ynamines, push–pull ynecarbamates, push–pull ...

Measurement report: Urban ammonia and amines in Houston, Texas [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics
Ammonia and amines play critical roles in secondary aerosol formation, especially in urban environments. However, fast measurements of ammonia and amines in the atmosphere are very scarce.

A novel n‐type dimer dopant for semiconducting polymers

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
A novel molecular n‐type dopant (1) with superior capacity to dope conjugated polymers is introduced. After charge transfer the product (2) remains in the polymer. Abstract Efficient and stable doping of organic semiconductors is crucial for adjusting their electrical properties.

Styrene-divinylbenzene copolymers. II. The conservation of porosity in styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer matrices and derived ion-exchange resins [PDF]

open access: yes, 1975
The collapse of pores in styrene-divinylbenzene copolymers and corresponding ion-exchange resins was studied during the removal of solvating liquids. The process can be followed in a most simple way by measuring the volume of the bead-shaped copolymers ...

Enhanced Degradation of Vinyl Copolymers Based on Lipoic Acid

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 1345-1351, 15 March 2025.
ABSTRACT The introduction of degradable units into the backbone of commodity vinyl polymers represents a major opportunity to address the societal challenge of plastic waste and polymer recycling. Previously, we reported the facile copolymerization of α‐lipoic acid derivatives containing 1,2‐dithiolane rings with vinyl monomers leading to the ...

Regiodivergent C3 and C4 Amination of Quinolines via Radical and Ionic Pathways

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 16, 13 April 2026.
A regiodivergent strategy converts a single N‐aminoquinolinium precursor into either C3‐ or C4‐aminated quinolines. Nucleophile‐induced dearomatization diverges into light‐driven N‐centered radical capture (C3) or base‐promoted SNAr (C4), enabling rapid assembly of aminoquinoline libraries and late‐stage diversification.

Understanding N-nitrosodimethylamine Formation in Water: Chloramine Chemistry, Kinetics, and A Proposed Reaction Pathway [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The formation of N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) in drinking water systems is a concern because of its potential carcinogenicity and occurrence at toxicologically relevant levels.

Laser-induced prenucleation of alumina for electroless plating [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
This paper deals with the deposition of palladium from decomposition of a thin palladium acetate layer on rough and porous alumina ceramic surfaces by irradiating it with a UV excimer laser.

Microphysical chemistry of fog–aerosol interactions over the northwest Atlantic Ocean during Fatima 2022

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
Fifteen size‐resolved aerosol samples collected during marine fog, with adjacent ambient observations, show that coarse sea salt aerosol is rapidly grown and lost in the northwest North Atlantic Ocean except when subject to extreme winds. The persistence of fog in the absence of sea salt is determined by available fine‐mode aerosol, where greater ...
