Functional Characterization of Floral Gene Network Reveals a Critical FT1–AP1 Interaction in Flowering Regulation in Longan [PDF]
Longan (Dimocarpus longan Lour.) is a commercially valuable tropical fruit crop that contains two antagonistic FLOWERING LOCUS T (FT) homologs involved in regulating flowering time. However, how these FT genes interact with flowering regulators FLOWERING

Effects of Pure Oxygen on the Rate of Skin Browning and Energy Status in Longan Fruit [PDF]
Postharvest pericarp browning is one of the main problems resulting in reduced shelf life of longan fruit. Experiments were conducted to examine the changes in concentrations of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and adenosine ...

Effect of Methyl Jasmonate Treatment on Postharvest Pericarp Browning of Longan Fruit [PDF]
In this research, we investigated the effects of treatment with different concentrations (10, 50 and 100 μmol/L) of methyl jasmonate (MeJA) on postharvest browning of ‘Chuliang’ longan fruit (Dimocarpus longan Lour.) during storage at (20 ± 1) ℃ and 85 ...

Hierarchical Structure, Gelatinization, and Digestion Characteristics of Starch from Longan (Dimocarpus longan Lour.) Seeds. [PDF]
Starch was isolated from longan seeds of three widely distributed cultivars (Chuliang, Shixia, and Caopu) in China. Comparisons of the multi-level structure of the starch of longan seeds among various cultivars were made, and the relations between these structural and property characteristics are discussed. The isolated starch, accounting for 44.9–49.5%

Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Properties of Longan (Dimocarpus longan Lour.) Pericarp. [PDF]
This study examined the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of the water extract of longan pericarp (WLP). The results showed that WLP exhibited radical scavenging, reducing activity and liposome protection activity. In addition, WLP also inhibited lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in macrophages.
