Terraced landscapes in Slovenia

open access: yesActa Geographica Slovenica, 2009
Slovenia is a country of exceptionally diverse landscapes at the intersection of four major European macroregions: the Alpine, Pannonian, Dinaric, and Mediterranean regions.

An Intermittent Karst River: The Case of the Čikola River (Dinaric Karst, Croatia)

open access: yes, 2019
Intermittent and ephemeral streams (IRES) are responsible for transporting about half of the water on Earth’s surface. Their hydrological behavior is different in various landscapes.

Hydrologic Evolution of a Carbonate Aquifer (Dinaric Karst, Croatia)

open access: yesGeologia Croatica, 2010
Dinaric Karst terrains contain specific, lam inatedspeleothems, which line all surfaces of subterraneanvoids including Cretaceous bedrock limestone, and oldervadose speleothems and clastic sediments.

Hydrogeological Assessment and Modified Conceptual Model of a Dinaric Karst Island Aquifer

open access: yes, 2022
Vis Island is situated in southern Croatia. The island is mostly composed of karstified carbonate rocks and belongs to the Dinaric karst region, which is a locus typicus of karst landforms.

Prey abundance supporting unusual water mite (Acari: Hydrachnidia) community in a sublacustrine spring and tributary river

open access: yesActa Biologica, 2018
Water mites are predators on microcrustations (Copepoda, Cladocera, Ostracoda) and insect larvae (mostly Diptera). Their communities usually have great diversity with high species richness but relatively low abundance.

Effective precipitation in Dinaric Karst

open access: yesActa hydrotechnica, 1997
In the paper the procedure of determining the formula for average annual effective precipitation depending on average annual precipitation faling on a drainage basin was described. The derived linear formula Pe = f(P) for the region of Dinaric karst was compared to Keller's formula and to Srebrenović's two formulas.

Detection and mapping of karst depressions through remote sensing approach: an example from Sierra de Libar (Malaga, SW Spain)

open access: yes, 2010
In recent times remote sensing data have become more and more popular for geomorphological investigations because of their increasing level of detail and wide accessibility.

THE FIRST RECORD OF A NOTOSUCHIAN CROCODYLIFORM FROM ITALY

open access: yesRivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia, 2011
A serrated tooth from the Coniacian-Santonian (Upper Cretaceous) Polazzo fossil site (Karst, NE Italy) is the first record of a notosuchian crocodyliform from Italy.
