Elevational diversity of reptiles on two Dinaric mountains
Elevational pattern in reptilian species richness and species turnover was studied on two Dinaric mountains along the eastern Adriatic coast: northern Mt. Velebit and Mt. Biokovo. Both mountains had similar numbers of species (20 and 22, respectively) and showed a gradual decline in species richness with increasing elevation.

Large canyons in Dinaric and Prokletije mountains region of Montenegro [PDF]
Montenegro occupies relatively small, southeastern part of the Dinaric mountains. Geological composition, which is predominantly carbonate, enabled formation of a great number of deep canyons and gorges. Canyons of Montenegro were formed in several ways, during multiple phases.

First 36Cl cosmogenic moraine geochronology of the Dinaric mountain karst: Velež and Crvanj Mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina [PDF]
Abstract This article presents the first attempt to date moraines in the Dinaric mountain karst using cosmogenic 36Cl surface exposure dating technique. Twenty samples were collected from moraine boulders from two sets of the lowest and largest lateral moraines on the Velež (1965 m asl) and Crvanj mountains (1920 m asl) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The
