Dinosaur ichnocoenoses on the Adriatic–Dinaridic carbonate platform

2009
Within the area of the former Adriatic–Dinaridic carbonate platform 17 sites with dinosaur footprints have been discovered ; 15 of them on the Istrian peninsula. Stratigraphic range of these findings is Late Tithonian–Late Maastrichtian. Five different kinds of dinosaurs have been recognized among these sites.

Metamorphic sole amphibolites from the Dinaride Ophiolite Zone (DOZ) and Sava- Vardar Zone (SVZ) of Dinarides

2001
The Dinaridic ophiolites occur in the DOZ, genetically related to MORB setting, and in the SVZ, genetically related to BARB environment. Varieties of amphibolites and related crystalline rocks are frequently associated with the Dinaridic ophiolites both in the DOZ and SVZ. In the central and north- western Dinarides, two compositionally and genetically

Erosional Surfaces in Outer Dinarides

2009
The present erosional surfaces on the Dinarides can be found at various levels (South-Istrian, North-Dalmatian, Zadvarska, Brotnjo-Dubrava, Lika’s, the erosional surface on Northern Velebit, on the mountain massifs of Èvrsnica, Bjelašnica, Treskavica, Durmitor, etc:) ; consequently, nearly from sea level to 1, 000 m and more than 2, 000 m above sea ...

Correlation of Neotethyan rifting related peperitic basaltic occurrences in the Dinarides, displaced fragments of the Dinarides and in the Hellenides

2010
Volcanological, mineralogical, petrological and geochemical studies on pillow lavas, peperites and hyaloclastite breccias as parts of basaltic extrusions of Triassic age into uconsolidated deep water sediments were carried out in the Jurassic mélange of the Darnó Unit (NE Hungary), which is a displaced fragment of the Dinarides.

Triassic Terrains of Adriatic and Dinarides (Croatia)

Bulletin of the Tethys Geological Society, 2007
Triassic terrains of Adriatic and Dinarides (Croatia) belong to the Late Pangea and Early Tethys time as proposed by Gaetani et al. (2003). They originated from area of maximum extension between Gondwana and Laurasia, i.e. future Apulia continental block.

Triassic magmatism in Dinarides and its products

2008
Triassic rift related magmatism was dominantly of intermediate in character. It produced basalts, andesites and dacite at the extrusive level, and gabbro, diorite, granosyenite and granite in the intrusive levels and lasted at least 40 to 50 Ma. It is spatially and genetically related to the sedimentary formation of the Gondwana passive continental ...
