Neogene dinocyst zonation for the eastern North Sea Basin, Denmark

Abstract A dinocyst zonation for the Neogene succession in the eastern part of the North Sea Basin (Denmark) is presented. The zonation is based on an extensive database comprising data from more than fifty onshore and offshore boreholes and about twenty five outcrops. Most of the nineteen dinocyst zones described and defined herein, are new.

Сравнительный анализ позднемеловых комплексов диноцист южных и северных территорий Западной Сибири показал, что несмотря на существенный провинциализм комплексов динофлагеллат, существует ряд стратиграфических интервалов в среднем-верхнем туроне, нижнем коньяке, нижнем сантоне, кампане и нижнем маастрихте, имеющих хороший корреляционный потенциал.

Observations on the Jurassic dinocyst genera Energlynia and Wanaea

Topotype material of all known species of the Jurassic dinocyst genera Energlynia and Wanaea has been examined, and forms the basis of a brief review of the genera. Observations and interpretations of specific morphological features are presented. A new species Wanaea thysanota is described and the diagnosis of Wanaea digitata emended.

Results of an analysis of the geographical distribution and taxonomic diversity of dinoflagellate cysts in the Campanian age of the Northern Hemisphere are presented. Three types of dinocyst assemblages are established on the basis of the qualitative and quantitative assessment of their generic composition.
