Diode-pumped 99 fs Yb:CaF_2 oscillator
We demonstrate the generation of 99 fs pulses by a mode-locked laser oscillator built around a Yb:CaF(2) crystal. An average power of 380 mW for a 13 nm bandwidth spectrum centered at 1053 nm is obtained. The short-pulse operation is achieved thanks to a saturable absorber mirror and is stabilized by the Kerr lens effect.

All‐Optical Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function for Sustainable Security
An all‐optical reconfigurable physical unclonable function (PUF) is demonstrated using plasmonic coupling–induced sintering of optically trapped gold nanoparticles, where Brownian motion serves as a robust entropy source. The resulting optical PUF exhibits high encoding density, strong resistance to modeling attacks, and practical authentication ...

Transient temperature field analysis of periodic side-pumped solid-state lasers
For the effective thermal management of a diode-pumped solid-state laser (DPSSL) with periodic pulsing and side-pumping, the transient temperature field of a side-pumped diode-pumped solid-state laser is calculated. The transient temperature field of the

Randomly polarised beam produced by magnetooptically Q-switched laser
Diode-pumped solid-state micro lasers are compact (centimetre-scale), highly stable, and efficient. Previously, we reported Q-switched lasers incorporating rare-earth substituted iron garnet (RIG) film. Here, the first demonstration of the magnetooptical

A highly-efficient tunable 1.6 μm MgO:PPLN-OPO, which we believe to be the first one pumped by a diode-end-pumped Raman laser, is demonstrated. A good beam-quality of actively Q-switched Nd:YVO4/YVO4 Raman laser at 1176 nm and

Resonant Domain Wall Dynamics in a Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Nano Double Helix
3D magnetic nanostructures promise exciting possibilities for magnetization dynamics. However, experimental realizations remain scarce. In nanoprinted cobalt double helices, time‐resolved X‐ray microscopy reveals harmonic domain wall dynamics. Simulations identify the mode and additional higher‐frequency resonances, revealing a rich dynamic landscape ...

Efficient and Compact Diode-Pumped Nd:YAG Lasers at 1073 and 1078 nm
We report on the efficient diode-pumped continuous-wave laser operation of a Nd:YAG crystal at several wavelengths by using a simple and compact two-mirror laser cavity and an undoped YAG thin plate acting as a Fabry-Pérot (F-P) etalon.

Electrically driven lasing in metal halide perovskites: Challenges and outlook
Metal halide perovskite semiconductors have shown great potential as emissive layers in light-emitting diodes and gain media in optically pumped lasers, and thus represent a possible foundation for a non-epitaxial electrically driven laser diode. However,
