DIODE-PUMPED CW Nd:CaSGG LASER

Advanced Solid State Lasers, 2000
Neodymium doped germanates with a garnet structure, such as Nd:Ca3Sc2Ge3O12 (Nd:CaSGG [l]), are promising laser materials for diode-pumping.

Diode-pumped Cr:LiSrAlF_6 laser

Optics Letters, 1991
A Cr:LiSrAlF(6) laser is diode pumped with both commercial 10-mW visible laser diodes and a higher-power 100-mW cw, 265-mW pulsed diode. Polarization combination of pump diodes to reach threshold is demonstrated with two low-power lasers. Pumping with the high-power diode produced powers of 19.9 mW cw and 78 mW pulsed.

GaAs Laser Diode Pumped Nd:YAG Laser

Applied Optics, 1974
A 1.5-mm by 3-cm neodymium-ion doped YAG laser rod has been side pumped using a GaAs laser diode array tuned to the 8680-A absorption line, achieving a multimode average output power of 120 mW for a total input power of 20 W to the final-stage laser diode drivers.

Diode-pumped femtosecond Yb:CaNb_2O_6 laser

Optics Letters, 2011
We report to our knowledge a diode-pumped passively mode-locked Yb:CaNb(2)O(6) (Yb:CN) laser for the first time. Both CW and passive mode-locking operation of the laser are experimentally investigated. A maximum CW output power of 1.4 W with a slope efficiency of 20% is obtained on a 7 mm long 1.5 at.% Yb:CN crystal, while stable passive mode-locking ...

Diode-pumped microchip Er–Yb:glass laser

Optics Letters, 1993
A single-frequency, diode-pumped, Er-Yb:glass microchip laser at a 1530-nm wavelength has been designed and operated. An output power of greater than 25 mW, a linewidth narrower than 1 kHz, and a slope efficiency of 22% have been obtained.

Ultrafast Diode-Pumped Lisaf Lasers

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Europe, 1996
LiSAF crystals (LiSrAlF6 doped with Cr3+ ions) are very interesting amplifier materials due to a large fluorescence bandwidth in the near infrared (800 nm to 1 μm) and an absorption band in the red (600-700 nm). Commercial high power single-stripe laser diodes emitting in this wavelength band are available since a few years.

Terawatt diode-pumped Yb:CaF_2 laser

Optics Letters, 2008
We present what we believe to be the first terawatt diode-pumped laser employing single-crystalline Yb:CaF(2) as the amplifying medium. A maximum pulse energy of 420 mJ at a repetition rate of 1 Hz was achieved by seeding with a stretched femtosecond pulse 2 ns in duration, preamplified to 40 mJ.

Diode-pumped Yb:Y2O3 ceramic laser

Applied Physics Letters, 2002
We report on a diode-pumped polycrystalline Yb:Y2O3 ceramic laser. We demonstrate that, with a pump power of 11 W at 937 nm, 0.75-W cw laser output at 1078 nm can be obtained from the laser. The laser had a threshold of 4.7 W and a slope efficiency of 12.6% when an output coupler of R=98% was used.

Laser-diode-pumped Nd:YAG active-mirror laser

Applied Optics, 1997
We describe a simple design, laser-diode-pumped cw Nd:YAG active-mirror laser and present a thermal analysis of the crystal. A cw output power of 2.4 W and an M(2) beam quality value of less than 1.9 at an incident pumping power of 8.9 W were obtained.
