Dioxole functionalized metal–organic frameworks
Dalton Transactions, 2013The synthesis and physical properties of dioxole functionalized metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are reported. Combination of benzo[d][1,3]dioxole-4,7-dicarboxylic acid (dioxole-BDC) and Zn(II) under solvothermal conditions yields either an isoreticular metal-organic framework analog (IRMOF-1-dioxole) or a new MOF material (MOF-1-dioxole).

Synthesis of α-Tropolones through Autoxidation of Dioxole-Fused Cycloheptatrienes
The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2022Herein, we describe the formation of tropolones through the autoxidation of Büchner reaction-derived cycloheptatrienes. The reaction is exceptionally simple procedurally, as it involves blowing a stream of compressed air over the cycloheptatriene, and the products can be obtained without any need for chromatography.

INHALATION TOXICITY OF DIOXOLE AND DIOXOLANE COMPOUNDS IN THE RAT
Drug and Chemical Toxicology, 2001Four chemicals (Dioxole 418, Dioxolane 418, Dioxolane 416 and Dioxolane 456) which are used as stabilizers in highresolution image were tested or both their acute and repeated inhalation toxicity in the rat using nose-only exposures. Acute studies determined the lethal concentrations following a single 4-hour exposure; repeated exposure inhalation ...

Photochemical cycloadditions of 1,3-dioxoles to anisole
Journal of the Chemical Society, Perkin Transactions 1, 1987Anisole yields both ortho- and meta-cycloadducts upon irradiation in the presence of 1,3-dioxole and 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxole. The mode and the regio- and stereo-selectivities of these cycloadditions are rationalized on the basis of the exciplex–zwitterion mechanism.

5-(p-Tolylamino)benzo-1,3-dioxole
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1997The title compound, C l4 H 13 NO 2 , is used in the preparation of phenothiazine drugs. The observed structure, with torsion angles of 13.3 (3) and 37.4 (3)° about the C aryl -N bonds, has been used for semi-empirical calculations. The resulting predictions are in accord with the observed selectivity of the reaction.

On the non-planarity of 1,3-dioxole and 1,3-dioxolane
Chemical Physics Letters, 2010Abstract The conformational preferences of 1,3-dioxole and 1,3-dioxolane are explained on the basis of the QTAIM electron density analysis of B3LYP/6-311++G(2d,2p) electron distributions, supporting the interpretation of the anomeric effect previously proposed by Vila and Mosquera [14] . Thus, distances from methylenic hydrogens to oxygen lone pairs
