Hydrodynamically Driven Colloidal Assembly in Dip Coating
We study the hydrodynamics of dip coating from a suspension and report a mechanism for colloidal assembly and pattern formation on smooth substrates. Below a critical withdrawal speed where the coating film is thinner than the particle diameter, capillary forces induced by deformation of the free surface prevent the convective transport of single ...

An intentionally added, chemically formed LixAlSy coating stabilizes the lithium–electrolyte interface in solid‐state Li–S batteries. The layer suppresses side reactions, preserves smooth charge transfer, and improves ion transport from the start. This approach offers a practical route to more durable solid‐state batteries and a clearer understanding ...

High‐Sensitivity Terahertz Gas Sensing Enabled by Undercut Metal‐Dielectric‐Metal Metamaterial
A terahertz (THz) metamaterial gas sensor is demonstrated using a metal–dielectric–metal (MDM) absorber with an undercut dielectric layer, which enlarges the gas‐replaced volume and strengthens refractive‐index perturbation of the resonant mode. A reflection dip at 0.766 THz is observed, and acetone–nitrogen tests yield concentration‐dependent shifts ...

Sealing grain boundary defects in polycrystalline ZIF-8 membranes by graphene oxide coating
Here we report that a simple graphene oxide (GO) coating can seal the grain boundary (GB) defects of polycrystalline ZIF-8 membranes and thus improve C3H6/C3H8 separation performance, especially separation factor.

An Advanced Molecularly Imprinted Polymer‐Based Electrochemical Aptasensor for Carbendazim Detection
A dual‐recognition electrochemical aptasensor that integrates a molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) and an aptamer is developed for the detection of a common pesticide, carbendazim (CBZ). The resulting sensor exhibits enhanced selectivity toward CBZ over structurally similar compounds and achieves a low detection limit of 1.3 nm, demonstrating its ...
