Beyond the Gold Standard: Towards Industrially Viable Electrodes for Durable Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Transparent and opaque electrode materials are mapped by raw material cost per 1 m2 electrode area and retained median device efficiency after heat–light ageing. FTO offers a lower‐cost and more stable alternative to ITO, while Cr/Al provides the lowest‐cost rear electrode investigated with Au‐like stability and substantially improved durability ...

MXene‐Derived Highly Oriented TiN Enables Ta3N5 Photoanodes for Transmission‐Mode Bias‐Free Solar Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work reports 2D MXene‐derived TiN thin films with (111)‐preferred orientation for transparent Ta3N5 photoanodes, demonstrating effective electron transfer behavior. All‐nitride electron‐collection architecture based on MXene‐derived TiN and n‐GaN resolves a long‐standing materials bottleneck between photocarrier transport and light transmission in

Extreme Weather Events and Consumer Food Responses

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates consumer food responses to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, which affected a swath of the Southeastern U.S. in 2024. Using representative consumer survey data from six affected states, we analyze 10 distinct food responses classified into ex ante and ex post responses, and examine their associations with food insufficiency

Delay of Cucumber Senescence and Life‐Extending Capabilities on Caenorhabditis elegans With the Postharvest Application of Sorbitol and Methyl Salicylate

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
Methyl salicylate and sorbitol were taken as coating agents. Caenorhabditis elegans was taken as an animal model. The coated agents were applied in C. elegans. The life span study in C. elegans proves the authenticity of MS and SL. MS and SL extended the post‐harvest life of cucumber for 14 days.

Dip coating of cylinders with Newtonian fluids

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2022
The Landau-Levich-Derjaguin (LLD) theory is widely applied to predict the film thickness in the dip-coating process. However, the theory was designed only for flat plates and thin fibers. Fifty years ago, White and Tallmadge attempted to generalize the LLD theory to thick rods using a numerical solution for a static meniscus and the LLD theory to ...

Dip-coating of aluminium by lead

Journal of Materials Science, 1974
A study of the problems connected with the coating of aluminium by molten lead has been made. A theoretical approach shows that lead only wets the aluminium surface if the latter is completely free of oxide. Contact of liquid lead with a “clean” aluminium surface may be effected by using an intermediate layer of molten chlorides as a flux and this ...
