Using Taguchi Design to Compare the Corrosion Behavior of Commercial Pure Ti Alloys Coated by Dip and Electrophoretic Deposition with YSZ [PDF]
This study makes experimental evaluations of the corrosion and tip tests of CP-Ti joint (commercial pure Ti) implant alloys coated with YSZ nanoceramic. A Taguchi design of experiments (DOE) strategy was used to create a thin adhesive covering utilizing

3Y-TZP dip-coated with Zn-containing calcium silicate layers: development and characterization
Coating layers based on Ca3Si3O9, Ca2ZnSi2O7, and ZnSiO4 on 3Y-TZP ceramics were obtained by the dip coating process, using SiO2-CaO-P2O5-ZnO glass suspensions with Zn contents in the range of 0-20 mol%. The influence of the Zn content in the dip coating

Drying Dip-Coated Colloidal Films [PDF]
We present the results from a small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) study of lateral drying in thin films. The films, initially 10 μm thick, are cast by dip-coating a mica sheet in an aqueous silica dispersion (particle radius 8 nm, volume fraction ϕ(s) = 0.14). During evaporation, a drying front sweeps across the film.

Improvement of Weldability of Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel by Anti-Galvanizing Coating with Si-Fe-Al Oxide-Based Micropowder [PDF]
A Si-Fe-Al ternary oxide-based micropowder coating was used to prevent the formation of a Zn coating on steel during the hot-dip Zn galvanizing process to reduce the welding fume and defects generated during the welding of Zn-galvanized steel.
