Dipping coating machine

2022
Conventional dipping techniques for components are based around submerging and removal from the liquor solely in the vertical plane. The project sought to confirm if improvement in film thickness and quality could be achieved through adoption of alternative dipping strategies including involving changes in speed, angularity and rotation to improve film

Dip Coating Technique

2004
The wet chemical sol-gel processing paves the way to the versatility and ease of liquid film deposition techniques for a variety of inorganic and hybrid coating materials. Liquid film deposition [1] in general involves the application of a liquid precursor film on a substrate which then is converted to the desired coating material in a subsequent post ...

Dip coated silicon-substituted hydroxyapatite films

Acta Biomaterialia, 2006
Silicon-substituted hydroxyapatites have been deposited onto Ti6Al4V substrates by sol-gel technology. The Ca(10)(PO(4))(6-x-y)(SiO(4))(x)(CO(3))(y)(OH)(2-x+y) coatings obtained, with silicon contents up to x=1 (2.8 wt.%), show a homogeneous and crack-free surface composed of particles smaller than 20 nm.

Superhydrophobic silica coating by dip coating method

Applied Surface Science, 2013
Abstract Herein, we report a simple and low cost method for the fabrication of superhydrophobic coating surface on quartz substrates via sol-gel dip coating method at room temperature. Desired surface chemistry and texture growth for superhydrophobicity developed under double step sol–gel process at room temperature.

Hot‐dipped Metallic Coatings

Anti-Corrosion Methods and Materials, 1960
Hot‐dipped metallic coatings are of fundamental importance to the corrosion technologist because, in many applications, they are the cheapest and most durable finish. In this article, the properties, preparation and uses of the metal coatings are compared and contrasted.

OTES modified transparent dip coated silica coatings

Ceramics International, 2013
Abstract The present paper describes the room temperature synthesis of dip coated water repellent silica coatings on glass substrates using octyltriethoxysilane (OTES) as a co-precursor with two-step sol–gel process. Silica sol was prepared by keeping the molar ratio of tetraethylortosilicate (TEOS) precursor, methanol (MeOH) solvent, acidic water (0.

Dip-coating of ITO films

Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1997
Abstract Uniform, transparent indium tin oxide (ITO) films were prepared by dip-coating process using an organic sol composed of indium acetate—diethanolamine—tin octylate-n-propanol mixture and the relationship between their electrical properties, film morphology and dip-coating conditions have been investigated.
