Swallowing difficulties in adolescents: A case report and suggestion of treatment model

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 10, Issue 8, August 2022., 2022
Dysphagia in adolescents requires multi‐disciplinary approach for diagnosis and management. Sequential Oral Sensory feeding based on cognitive behavioral therapy is an option for managing behavioral dysphagia. Abstract Dysphagia or difficulty swallowing in childhood necessitates multi‐disciplinary evaluation and management.

A multifunctional mouse model to study the role of Samd3

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 52, Issue 2, Page 328-337, February 2022., 2022
We introduce a new mouse model enabling to address the key functions of the largely unknown protein SAMD3. We confirm expression of SAMD3 in NK cells and long‐lived CD8 T cells in acute and chronic viral infections, observing an increasing contribution of Samd3‐expressing memory CD8 T cells over time.

A skeleton in the cupboard in ghrelin research: Where are the skinny dwarfs?

open access: yesJournal of Neuroendocrinology, Volume 33, Issue 11, November 2021., 2021
Hunting for the skinny dwarfs in ghrelin research. Abstract Based on studies delivering ghrelin or ghrelin receptor agonists, we have learned a great deal about the importance of the brain ghrelin signalling system for a wide range of physiological processes that include feeding behaviours, growth hormone secretion and glucose homeostasis.

Aryl hydrocarbon receptor (Ahr)‐dependent Il‐22 expression by type 3 innate lymphoid cells control of acute joint inflammation

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 25, Issue 10, Page 4721-4731, May 2021., 2021
Abstract The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) controls several inflammatory and metabolic pathways involved in various diseases, including the development of arthritis. Here, we investigated the role of AHR activation in IL‐22‐dependent acute arthritis using the K/BxN serum transfer model.

Inactivation of HIF‐prolyl 4‐hydroxylases 1, 2 and 3 in NG2‐expressing cells induces HIF2‐mediated neurovascular expansion independent of erythropoietin

open access: yesActa Physiologica, Volume 231, Issue 1, January 2021., 2021
Abstract Aim NG2 cells in the brain are comprised of pericytes and NG2 glia and play an important role in the execution of cerebral hypoxia responses, including the induction of erythropoietin (EPO) in pericytes. Oxygen‐dependent angiogenic responses are regulated by hypoxia‐inducible factor (HIF), the activity of which is controlled by prolyl 4 ...
