The presence of glochidia of Diplodon chilensis Haas 1931 (Mollusca, Pelecypoda) has been reported in gills of wild freshwater fish in the Argentinian Patagonia. Death occurrences due to glochidiasis have not been observed either in wild fish or in cultured fish.
