Diplomacy, Globalization and Heteropolarity: The Challenge of Adaptation [PDF]

open access: yesThe School of Public Policy Publications, 2013
Globalization is the defining historical process of our times, conditioning, if not determining, outcomes across vast swathes of human activity. At the same time, a heteropolar world is emerging, one in which various and competing sources of power and ...

Central Asian Prism of The Belt and Road Initiative: Social Sustainability and Capacity Building Specifics

open access: yesJournal of Central Asian Studies
As traditional international institutions decline in effectiveness, states increasingly adopt pragmatic, interest-driven foreign policies. Nowhere is this shift more evident than in Central Asia, where historical legacies, geographic constraints, and ...

Directional Flow of Confined Polaritons in CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
CrSBr, a layered magnetic semiconductor, naturally channels self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons into highly directional flow. Its intrinsic optical anisotropy, high refractive index, and strong lightmatter coupling enable long‐range guided modes along the a‐axis, with propagation lengths set by their excitonphoton admixture.

Strong Coupling in all‐Polymer Planar Microcavities

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Strong Coupling has been achieved in an all‐polymer microcavity with dielectric contrast Δn = 0.33 doped with TDBC. A Rabi splitting of 39 meV has been measured opening novel perspectives for polymer photonics. ABSTRACT In this work, strong coupling effect is observed in all‐polymer planar microcavities incorporating TDBC J‐aggregates dispersed into ...

Surface Fermi Level Modulation of Photoanode by Optimized Conducting Nanoparticle Heterointerfaces for Enhanced Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Optimizing the heterointerface coverage of the conducting Ni2P nanoparticles on the surface of BVO photoanode manipulates the surface Fermi‐level modulation, which significantly enhances photoelectrochemical oxygen evolution reaction. Our multiscale simulations and experimental results reveal that an optimal Ni2P coverage of 9.4% pins the surface Fermi

Data‐Driven Design of Self‐Adhesive Epidermal Electrodes and Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents self‐adhesive, stretchable epidermal electrodes and sensors developed through a data‐driven design framework that integrates artificial neural networks with genetic algorithms. By tailoring optimization objectives, either maximizing electrical conductivity and adhesion or enhancing piezoresistive sensitivity, the study enables the ...
