Posthodiplostomum minimum (MacCallum, 1921) Dubois, 1936, is a common strigeoid trematode parasitizing several species of herons. Metacercariae of this species, formerly known as Neascus van cleavei (Agersborg), occur in a wide variety of fresh-water fishes, where they invade the liver, spleen, opisthonephroi, mesenteries, and pericardium.

Ultrastructure of sensory endings in Diplostomum pseudospathaceum Niewiadomska, 1984 cercariae (Digenea, Diplostomidae)

Using TEM techniques, 13 types of sensory endings were revealed on the body and tail of cercariae of D. pseudospathaceum. They differ in the presence or absences of cilia, number of cilia, number of electron-dense rings, basal body type and collar shape.

The article provides the description of the Diplostomum rutili Razmashkin, 1969 cercariae from spontaneously infected crimean population mollusks Lymnaea stagnalis Linnaeus, 1758 and the metacercariae experimentally obtained in the juveniles of the roach, Rutilus rutilus Linnaeus, 1758. Some distinguishing features of the cercaria are noted.
