Distribution of Exchange Interaction Fields for 2D and 3D Systems of Spherical Dipoles [PDF]

open access: yesЖурнал нано- та електронної фізики, 2014
By the method of numerical simulation have been shown that the dipole-dipole interaction in the high-anisotropic spherical magnetic dipole moments can result in the case of the particle distribution on the plane to poorly defined ferromagnetism, and for ...

IMPACT OF DIPOLE-DIPOLE INTERACTION ON THE CAVITY MODE EVOLUTION IN THE MODEL OF FEW EMITTERS LASER

open access: yesSt. Petersburg Polytechnical University Journal: Physics and Mathematics, 2019
In the paper, the simple model of а two-atom laser is theoretically studied. The both dipole-dipole coupled atoms are under conditions of incoherent pump, are placed into the Fabry – Perot cavity and interact with a single damping field mode.

Temperature‐Modulated Threshold Response in a Volatile Memristor: Toward a Biomimetic Polymodal Nociceptive System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an artificial polymodal nociceptor whose firing threshold is actively modulated by temperature. A volatile TiN/TiOx/ZnO/TiOx/ITO memristor shows interfacial ion–driven resistive switching and membrane‐potential‐like dynamics, enabling temperature‐dependent nociceptive behavior.

Dynamics of entanglement of two dipole-coupled Josephson qubits interacting with two lossless resonators

open access: yesФизика волновых процессов и радиотехнические системы, 2016
In the present paper we investigated the dynamics of two dipole-coupled superconducting qubits prepared in an entangled state and interacting with two modes of the vacuum electromagnetic fields of two independent resonators.

Solutions of the Schrödinger equation for anisotropic dipole-dipole interaction plus van der Waals interaction

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
By generalizing Gao's approach [Phys. Rev. A 58, 1728 (1998)1050-294710.1103/PhysRevA.58.1728] for solving the Schrödinger equation for an isotropic van der Waals (vdW) potential to the systems with a multiscale anisotropic long-range interaction, we ...

Dipole–dipole interaction between Rydberg atoms

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2016
The applicability of the van der Waals potential approximation (C 6/R 6) is limited by its smallness in comparison with the distance to the nearest undisturbed level of the system of two interacting atoms. It is shown that this condition should be taken into account in the study of interaction of Rydberg atoms.

Nanothermometry in Living Cells: Physical Limits, Conceptual and Material Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Heat and temperature are fundamental to life. When nanothermometers began probing regions as small as a living cell, they triggered controversial claims of large intracellular temperature gradients. We review physical constraints energy‐conservation, entropy production, thermodynamic fluctuations, and molecular dynamics.

Bio‐Inspired Magnetically Tunable Structural Colors from Elliptical Self‐Assembled Block Copolymer Microparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cephalopod‐inspired photonic microparticles with dynamic structural coloration are fabricated via confined self‐assembly of linear block copolymers into ellipsoids containing stacked lamellae. Embedded superparamagnetic nanoparticles enable rapid magnetic alignment, restoring vivid, angle‐dependent color.

A dipole band above the Iπ= 31/2− isomeric state in 189Pb

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
This contribution focuses on the new observation of a dipole band built upon an Iπ=31/2− isomeric state in 189Pb, identified using recoil-isomer tagging at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.

Actuating and Sensing Composites of Liquid Crystal Elastomers and Poly(ionic liquid)s

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic conductive, mechanically tough, flexible, and stretchable filaments of a composite material comprising a liquid crystal elastomer and a poly(ionic liquid) are produced through 3D printing, which exhibit large actuation strain under stimulation and electrical resistance variation in response to deformation or environmental condition changes. Their
