Dipole-Dipole interaction in photonic crystal nanocavity [PDF]
Dipole-dipole interaction between two two-level `atoms' in photonic crystal nanocavity is investigated based on finite-difference time domain algorithm. This method includes both real and virtual photon effects and can be applied for dipoles with different transition frequencies in both weak and strong coupling regimes.

We consider quasi-two-dimensional atomic/molecular Bose-Einstein condensates with both contact and dipole-dipole interactions. It is shown that, as a consequence of the dimensional reduction, and within mean-field theory, the condensates do not develop ...

The shadow of dark matter as a shadow of string theory
We point out that string theory can solve the conundrum to explain the emergence of an electroweak dipole moment from electroweak singlets through induction of those dipole moments through a Kalb-Ramond dipole coupling.

Dipole-Dipole Correlations for the sine-Gordon Model [PDF]
We consider the dipole-dipole correlations for the two-dimensional Coulomb gas/sine-Gordon model for $\beta> 8\pi$ by a renormalization group method. First we re-establish the renormalization group analysis for the partition function using finite range decomposition of the covariance. Then we extend the analysis to the correlation functions.

On the saturation of excitation-dependent dipole-dipole broadening in dense Rb vapour [PDF]
We study dependence of dipole-dipole interaction in dense Rb vapour on optical excitation. We measure the dipole-dipole contribution to the selective reflection spectrum of D2 line.

Theory of polyzwitterion conformations
Conformational characteristics of polyzwitterionic molecules in aqueous solutions are investigated using the variational method. Analytical relations are derived for the radius of gyration of a single polyzwitterionic chain as a function of the chain ...

The influence of dipole-dipole interaction on entanglement in nondegenerate two-photon Tavis-Cummings model with atomic coherence [PDF]
The entanglement of two dipole-coupled atoms with nondegenerate two-photon transitions interacting with two-mode field in lossless cavity has been investigated. It shows that the entanglement is dependent on the initial atomic states. The possibility of considerable growth of atomic entanglement due atomic coherence and dipole-dipole interaction is ...
