A Wideband Circularly Polarized Magnetoelectric Dipole Antenna for 5G Millimeter-Wave Communications

open access: yesSensors, 2022
In this paper, a wideband circularly polarized (CP) magnetoelectric (ME) dipole antenna operating at 28 GHz band was proposed for 5G millimeter-wave (mm-wave) communications.

Inversion of a Thunderstorm Cloud Charging Model Based on a 3D Atmospheric Electric Field

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
The measurement of the atmospheric electric field is of great significance for the study of thunderstorm cloud charge models. Traditional electric field meters can only measure the vertical component of the atmospheric electric field, and thus it is ...

Fully Planar Dual-Polarized Broadband Antenna for 3G, 4G and Sub 6-GHz 5G Base Stations

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
A fully planar dual polarized radiating element with internal embedded coupled dipoles is presented in this paper. The inclusion of these elements allows achieving three different goals: firstly, an extension of the bandwidth towards lower frequencies ...

Improving the Directionality of Low-Frequency Acoustic Radiation by a Finite Array of Quadrupolar Sources with Acoustic Metamaterials

open access: yesCrystals, 2023
Manipulating radiation patterns is challenging, especially at low frequencies. In this paper, we demonstrate that acoustic metamaterials arranged as an array of quadrupoles remarkably improve the directionality of acoustic radiation at low frequencies ...

MATHEMATICAL APPARATUS FOR MODELING OF THE PROPAGATION THE MAGNETIC FIELD ELECTRIC MACHINES WITH A GIVEN ACCURACY

open access: yesСучасні інформаційні системи, 2022
. The problem of modeling the propagation local magnetic fields and spatially dispersed sources is large errors compared to field measurements. An important aspect of adequate modeling is the use of the correct mathematical apparatus.

Dipole–Dipole Interactions in Microtubules [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biological Physics, 2005
Dimers in microtubules possess a dipole moment with components along three axes. The interaction energy among all dipole components in a microtubule was calculated for an un-deformed and an elliptically deformed microtubule in a "dry" condition. The interaction energy was found to increase with deformation.

Compact, Broadband, and Omnidirectional Antenna Array for Millimeter-Wave Communication Systems

open access: yesJournal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Applications, 2021
In this paper, a millimeter-wave printed quadrupole antenna is proposed. It consists of two symmetric printed dipoles that make the quadrupole radiating power omnidirectionally.

Charge-dipole and dipole-dipole interactions in two-dimensional materials

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2022
We derive the explicit analytical form for the charge-dipole and dipole-dipole interactions in 2D configuration space. We demonstrate that the reduction of dimensionality can alter the charge-dipole and dipole-dipole interactions in 2D case. The asymptotics of these interactions at large distances coincide to the charge-dipole and dipole-dipole ...

Color Dipole Systematics of the Diffraction Slope in Diffractive Photo- and Electroproduction of Vector Mesons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We present the first evaluation of the color dipole diffraction slope from the data on diffractive photo- and electroproduction of vector mesons. The energy and dipole size dependence of the found dipole diffraction slope are consistent with the color ...

Effect of Bandage Materials on Epidermal Antenna

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings, 2023
This study explores the effect of different types of bandages on the performance of an epidermal antenna. Three identical dipole antennas are designed on three different types of bandages, and the measured reflection coefficients, S11, show that the ...
