Compact size dipole antenna

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2008
A novel wideband planar dipole antenna is proposed. This antenna has a simple structure and compact size. For verification, the newly proposed structure was fabricated and measured. It is shown that the return loss of the antenna between 3.0 and 7.5 GHz is better than - 10 dB. The radiation performance is good over the whole frequency band.

Tuning the Scattering Response of the Optical Nano Antennas Using Graphene

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2014
In this paper, we propose the tuning of the optical nano antenna in the visible spectrum using graphene. A dipole structure for the nano antenna is considered with the resonating wavelength at the VIS-NIR spectrum range. Resonance is determined using the

Charge‐Induced Morphing Gels for Bioinspired Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a novel electroactive actuation mechanism that enables the gel material to generate substantial and reversible shape‐changing while preserving topological and isochoric (volumetric) equivalence. The resultant morphing behaviors can mimic the movements of muscle‐driven organelles in nature, including cilia‐like beating and ...

Reducing Open‐Circuit Voltage Losses in Wide‐Bandgap FAPbBr3 Perovskite Solar Cells for Continuous Unassisted Light‐Driven Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The combination of formamidinium thiocyanate and 1,3‐propane diammonium iodide for bulk and top‐surface passivation, and a ternary fullerene blend to improve energy band alignment, suppresses energy losses in wide‐bandgap FAPbBr3 perovskite solar cells.

A Solvent‐Free, Dry‐Processed Li‐Ion Battery Enabled by Dual Binders and Nanostructured Aluminum Current Collectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐binder dry‐processed electrode (DB‐DPE) combining PTFE and PVDF with a nanostructured Al current collector (NSA) forms a mechanically interlocked interface that significantly improves adhesion and reduces interfacial resistance. With an active material content as high as 96 wt.%, the NSA‐based DB‐DPE enables high‐mass‐loading operation (12.5 mAh
