Role of the Recombination Zone in Organic Light‐Emitting Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the critical role of the recombination zone in organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). We highlight that broadening the recombination zone in OLEDs based on emissive layers with balanced charge transport and high photoluminescence quantum yields provides a promising route toward achieving both long operational lifetime and high ...

Dual-Polarized Band-Notched Antenna Without Extra Circuit for 2.4/5 GHz WLAN Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, a dual-band dual-polarized crossed dipole antenna with good anti-interference capability is proposed for 2.4-/5-GHz WLAN applications. The proposed antenna covers the WLAN 2.4-GHz band (2.4-2.48 GHz) and 5-GHz bands (5.15-5.85 GHz) with ...

Chiral Microneedle Arrays With Terahertz Chiroptical Activity With Chiral‐Plasmon‐Chiral‐Phonon Resonance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Microneedle arrays (MNAs) is a rapidly emerging technology with broad biomedical applications in drug delivery and biosensing. With sub‐millimeter dimensions and periodicity, MNAs possess geometries nearly ideal for biomedical devices operating within the terahertz (THz) spectral window.

Thermodynamic Limits to Molecular Doping in Conjugated Polymers: A Perspective on Phase Behavior and Miscibility

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular doping of conjugated polymers is fundamentally constrained by thermodynamic phase behavior. This Perspective reframes doping efficiency and stability in terms of miscibility limits, binodals, and solvus boundaries, highlighting the role of effective interaction parameters and charge transfer.

Miniature Soft Robot With Magnetically Reprogrammable Surgical Functions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Miniature soft robots have great prospects to revolutionize minimally invasive treatments. Here we present a miniature soft robot, which can be reprogrammed to perform five surgical functionalities with six‐degrees‐of‐freedom motions. This soft robot can prospectively make minimally invasive surgery considerably safer and painless, and enable ...

Analysis of a microstrip dipole antenna

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1984
Assuming a quasi-TEM mode of wave propagation and using a conformal transformation technique, accurate and simple analytic expressions for the characteristic wave resistance and the effective dielectric constant of the microstrip dipole antenna in the mixed dielectric medium have been derived.
