Dipole moments of methylphosphine borane, dimethylphosphine borane, and trimethylphosphine borane were determined in benzene solution. After correction for solvent effects the values obtained were: CH3PH2BH3, 4.58 D; (CH3)2PHBH3, 4.78 D; (CH3)3PBH3, 4.97 D. The variation in these moments is interpreted in terms of a polarization model.
