Advanced control of non‐isothermal axial dispersion tubular reactors with recycle‐induced state delay

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 6, Page 3018-3037, June 2026.
Abstract We develop a delay‐aware estimation and control framework for a non‐isothermal axial dispersion tubular reactor modelled as a coupled parabolic‐hyperbolic PDE system with recycle‐induced state delay. The infinite‐dimensional dynamics are preserved without spatial discretization by representing the delay as a transport PDE and adopting a late ...

Time-Compact Scheme for the One-Dimensional Dirac Equation

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2016
Based on the Lie-algebra, a new time-compact scheme is proposed to solve the one-dimensional Dirac equation. This time-compact scheme is proved to satisfy the conservation of discrete charge and is unconditionally stable.

Weighted Deformed Gram Matrices for Quantum‐Inspired Learning With Applications to Biomedical Signal Analysis

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
Graphical abstract of the (q,τ)$$ \left(q,\tau \right) $$‐deformed kernel framework for quantum‐inspired learning and biomedical signal analysis ABSTRACT This paper introduces a weighted (q,τ)$$ \left(q,\tau \right) $$‐deformed Gram matrix framework for quantum‐inspired learning systems, with particular emphasis on applications in biomedical signal ...

Dirac Induction for Loop Groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Using a coset version of the cubic Dirac operators for affine Lie algebras, we give an algebraic construction of the Dirac induction homomorphism for loop group representations.

Particle-antiparticle duality from an extra timelike dimension

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
It is a well known fact that the usual complex structure on the real Clifford Algebra (CA) of Minkowski spacetime can be obtained by adding an extra time-like dimension, instead of the usual complexification of the algebra. In this article we explore the

Efficient Numerical Framework for Geothermal Energy Production Optimization in Fracture‐Controlled Reservoirs

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, Volume 98, Issue 6, Page 709-730, June 2026.
We introduce an efficient open‐source numerical framework for the automated search for the placements of injection and production wells in hot fracture‐controlled reservoirs that sustainably optimize geothermal energy production. We model the reservoirs as discrete fracture networks in 3D. The fluid flow and heat transport in the reservoirs are modeled

Multi‐Goal‐Oriented Anisotropic Error Control and Mesh Adaptivity for Time‐Dependent Convection‐Dominated Problems

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT In this work, we present an anisotropic multi‐goal error control based on the dual weighted residual (DWR) method for time‐dependent convection–diffusion–reaction (CDR) equations. Motivated by former work, we combine multiple goals to single error functionals with weights chosen as algorithmic parameters.

Geometrical aspects of spinor and twistor analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
This work is concerned with two examples of the interactions between differential geometry and analysis, both related to spinors. The first example is the Dirac operator on conformal spin manifolds with boundary.

Quantum Information Measures of a Dirichlet Waveguide with Neumann Window(s)

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Engineering boundary conditions in low‐dimensional structures provides a simple yet powerful way of shaping how quantum information is stored and transported. We investigate a flat 2D Dirichlet waveguide containing one or two finite Neumann windows and compute the bound states in both position and momentum space as functions of the window ...

Statistical Detection of Adversarial Compliance With Benford's Law

open access: yesStatistical Analysis and Data Mining: An ASA Data Science Journal, Volume 19, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT We address the task of identifying anomalous observations by analyzing digits under the lens of Benford's law. Motivated by the crucial objective of providing reliable statistical analysis of customs declarations, we answer one major and still open question: How can we detect the behavior of operators who are aware of the prevalence of the ...
