Graded Poisson and graded Dirac structures

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics
There have been several attempts in recent years to extend the notions of symplectic and Poisson structures in order to create a suitable geometrical framework for classical field theories, trying to achieve a success similar to the use of these concepts in Hamiltonian mechanics.

Electrochemical Modulation of Laser‐Induced Covalent Functionalization of Graphene

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photoelectrochemical functionalization of graphene introduces the electrochemical potential as an additional parameter for the laser‐induced covalent modification of graphene. Tuning of the potential allows for amplification or suppression of the functionalization reaction with constant laser parameters, which enables in situ Raman analysis of ...

Negative magnetoresistance in Dirac semimetal Cd3As2

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Materials with topologically non-trivial band structures promise applications exploiting exotic electronic transport behaviour. Here, the authors observe a large negative magnetoresistance in Cd3As2nanoribbons, evidence for a chiral transport anomaly ...

Progress in Strain Engineering of 2D‐Integrated Heterostructures for Ultrasensitive Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
. ABSTRACT Two‐dimensional (2D) integrated heterostructures have emerged as a cornerstone in the advancement of next‐generation sensor technologies. These heterostructures, which combine materials with different dimensionalities, have led to significant breakthroughs in sensing performance and device integration.

Discrete Dirac structures and discrete Lagrange–Dirac dynamical systems in mechanics

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics
In this paper, we propose the concept of (±)-discrete Dirac structures over a manifold by introducing (±)-discrete two-forms and incorporate discrete constraints via (±)-finite difference approximations. In particular, we develop (±)-discrete induced Dirac structures as discrete analogues of the induced Dirac structure on the cotangent bundle over a ...

Quantum Nanomedicine and Quantum Biomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this perspective, we define quantum nanomedicine and quantum biomaterials as a paradigm that harnesses quantum effects in nanomedicine and biomaterials, including quantum superposition, quantum coherence, quantum tunneling, topological quantum effects, and spin polarization, to achieve either spatiotemporally precise modulation of physiological ...

Optimizing Metal‐Perovskite Interfaces: Electronic and Transport Properties of Au‐Bromide Perovskites Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines metal–perovskite interfaces in 2D (BA)2PbBr4 and (PEA)2PbBr4 using first‐principles and NEGF methods. It compares top‐ and edge‐contact configurations, revealing Schottky barriers in top contacts and ohmic behavior in edge contacts.

Non‐Uniform Space‐Time‐Coding Modulation for Low‐Complexity Diagnostics of Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A diagnostic method for reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) based on non‐uniform space‐time‐coding modulation is presented. Fault localization is achieved via amplitude‐only spectral measurements, eliminating the need for complex signal processing. A one‐to‐one mapping between harmonic components and RIS elements enables accurate detection.

Optical Charge Trap Memory Based on Graphene/ZnO Heterostructures for Long‐Term Retention and Adaptive Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A biocompatible graphene/ZnO optical charge trap memory (CTM) is reported with over 54 h retention, enabled by interfacial photodoping. Using transient absorption spectroscopy and electrical analysis, charge transfer quenching is elucidated and reveal that a large energy barrier at the interface is responsible for long‐term memory retention.
