Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Direct Electron Transfer of Myoglobin on CdO Nanoparticles Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode
In this study, direct electron transfer of myoglobin (Mb) on cadmium oxide (CdO) nanoparticles modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was investigated. Prepared CdO nanoparticles were studied by X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and UV–visible absorption methods ...

Direct electron transfer from alcohol dehydrogenase
This study employed hydrodynamic cyclic voltammetry (HCV) with a glassy carbon (GC) rotating disk electrode (RDE), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) to investigate the direct electron transfer (DET) behavior of alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH, EC 1.1.1.1) embedded or otherwise in polymyxin (PM) and adsorbed ...

Laser Pulse Deposited Nanosized Ceria for Direct Electron Transfer of Glucose Oxidase
Ceria has a high isoelectric point (IEP~9.2) and its cerium atom reversibly undergoes oxidation/reduction process therefore theoretically capable through electrostatic interactions of immobilizing enzymes with lower IEP and of electrons mediating ...

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...
