Geometric Calibration of an Aerial Multihead Camera System for Direct Georeferencing Applications
An aerial multihead camera consists of a photogrammetric system composed of multiple cameras, which are mounted together in a main structure. By combining the images acquired simultaneously from each camera, a single synthetic image with much larger coverage can be generated.

Ecological niche modelling identified highly suitable habitats for Glycaspis brimblecombei across tropical, subtropical and temperate regions. Future climate projections indicate a moderate contraction of suitable areas, with persistence of core climatic suitability. Model performance was robust (AUC = 0.880; TSS = 0.634; CBI = 0.803), with temperature

Real-Time Single-Frequency GPS/MEMS-IMU Attitude Determination of Lightweight UAVs
In this paper, a newly-developed direct georeferencing system for the guidance, navigation and control of lightweight unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), having a weight limit of 5 kg and a size limit of 1.5 m, and for UAV-based surveying and remote sensing

Rulers on the road: Itinerant rule in the Holy Roman Empire, AD 919–1519
Abstract Itinerant rule, rule exercised through traveling, was a common yet insufficiently researched, premodern form of governance. Studying the determinants of ruler itineraries in the Holy Roman Empire, AD 919–1519, we argue that rulers' visits targeted “marginal” elites.

Direct Sensor Orientation of a Land-Based Mobile Mapping System
A land-based mobile mapping system (MMS) is flexible and useful for the acquisition of road environment geospatial information. It integrates a set of imaging sensors and a position and orientation system (POS). The positioning quality of such systems is

A Survey of Methods for Constructing 3D Urban Models From Point Clouds
The survey outlines a general process for constructing 3D models from point clouds and categorizes the methods based on their use of templates, basic surface primitives, hybrid approaches, or linear primitives. Additionally, the survey reviews the datasets and benchmarks that are essential for testing and training the developed methods.

Reconnaissance‐Scale Methods for the Identification of Groundwater Discharge to Streams
Abstract Identifying groundwater discharge locations is critical for understanding and monitoring groundwater contributions to streams in terms of water quantity and quality. Streams and rivers are under increasing strain from factors, including increased urbanization, agricultural land use, groundwater extraction, and climate change, which can alter ...
