Hybrid Renewable Energy System Controlled with Intelligent Direct Power Control

Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés, 2022
The paper suggests a novel DPC approach to ameliorate the management and HRES “hybrid renewable energy system” control composed of photovoltaic and wind systems. In the conventional DPC technique, the “switching table” is founded on a “hysteresis comparator”, which poses the problem of fluctuations on the HRES various output variables.

Direct Power Control of Induction Motor Drives

2019 IEEE 13th International Conference on Compatibility, Power Electronics and Power Engineering (CPE-POWERENG), 2019
In this paper a novel high-performance direct power control (DPC) approach for induction motor (IM) drive is presented. The majority of the high performance drives employ induction machine due to its several advantages and hence it necessitates precise control over a wide range of speed with better power factor.

Direct Power Flow Controller—A New Concept in Power Transmission

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2020
For power transmission in grid, a new concept of direct power flow controller (DPFC) was proposed based on single-stage ac–ac converter with controllable phase and amplitude. By connecting its regulated output compensation voltage with grid in series, DPFC is able to regulate the amplitude and phase angle of grid node voltage, and thus can effectively ...

Enhanced predictive direct power control of DFIG

2011 2nd Power Electronics, Drive Systems and Technologies Conference, 2011
This paper proposes an enhanced predictive controller for direct power control of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG). In this paper, a control law based-on the transfer function model is described to compensate and regulate the differences between the output active and reactive power of stator of DFIG that is in interaction with the network.

Sensorless Direct Power Control for a DSTATCOM

Proceedings of the 41st International Universities Power Engineering Conference, 2006
A Static Compensator (STATCOM) is a viable solution for improving power quality in distribution systems. This technology has resulted in an equipment that is principally different from conventional static Var compensator (SVC). In this paper Direct Power Control of three-phase pulsewidth-modulated inverter without voltage line sensors is applied to a ...

Design of STATCOM Novel Direct Power Controller

2011 Third International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation, 2011
The main function of STATCOM is to compensate reactive power on-line, making the power system have ideal power factor. According to the instantaneous power theory, a novel control method is proposed in this paper that power is detected to be the reference compensation power direct.

Direct power control of DFIG connected to unbalanced power grid

2013 Eighth International Conference and Exhibition on Ecological Vehicles and Renewable Energies (EVER), 2013
This paper presents a control strategy, which allows doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) to generate a sinusoidal stator currents and minimize an electromagnetic torque oscillations under unbalanced grid conditions. The control does not require a positive and negative sequence decomposition of the control variables, so the independent control of ...

Three-Vector-Based Low-Complexity Model Predictive Direct Power Control Strategy for PWM Rectifier Without Voltage Sensors

IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, 2019
A voltage sensorless control of low-complexity model predictive direct power control (LC-MPDPC) for pulsewidth modulation (PWM) rectifier is proposed. The conventional LC-MPDPC adopts one or two voltage vectors during one control period, which achieve ...
