The Transitive Reduction of a Directed Graph
SIAM Journal on Computing, 1972We consider economical representations for the path information in a directed graph. A directed graph $G^t $ is said to be a transitive reduction of the directed graph G provided that (i) $G^t $ has a directed path from vertex u to vertex v if and only if G has a directed path from vertex u to vertex v, and (ii) there is no graph with fewer arcs than ...

Direct Asymmetric Reductive Amination
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2009Asymmetric reductive amination of beta-keto amides catalyzed by the chiral catalyst Ru(OAc)(2)((R)-dm-segphos) produces unprotected beta-amino amides with high yields and high enantioselectivities (94.7-99.5% ee). This "one-pot" methodology is general in substrate scope and has been successfully employed to produce sitagliptin with 99.5% ee and 91 ...

A Symmetric Reduction of the NT Direction
SIAM Journal on Optimization, 2014A stable symmetrization of the linear systems arising in interior-point methods for solving linear programs is introduced. A comparison of the condition numbers of the resulting interior-point linear systems with other commonly used approaches indicates that the new approach may be best suitable for an iterative solution.

1997
This note defines a new graphical local calculus, directed virtual reductions. It is designed to compute Girard's execution formula EX, an invariant of closed functional evaluation obtained from the “geometry of interaction” interpretation of λ-calculus [5].

Direct reduction and smelting reduction – an overview
Steel Research, 1989A survey is given on the current state of direct reduction and smelting reduction processes. Several developments, such as coal injection, top‐gas recycling etc., contribute to decrease the coke consumption in the blast furnace. Coal‐based as well as gas‐based direct reduction processes have not succeeded in Western Europe.

Interference Reduction in Directional Wireless Networks
2020In a wireless network using directional transmitters, a typical problem is to schedule a set of directional links to cover all the receivers in a region, such that an adequate data rate and coverage are maintained while minimizing interference. We can model the coverage area of a directional transmitter as an unit triangle and the receiver as a point ...
