Direct Asymmetric Reductive Amination

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2009
Asymmetric reductive amination of beta-keto amides catalyzed by the chiral catalyst Ru(OAc)(2)((R)-dm-segphos) produces unprotected beta-amino amides with high yields and high enantioselectivities (94.7-99.5% ee). This "one-pot" methodology is general in substrate scope and has been successfully employed to produce sitagliptin with 99.5% ee and 91 ...

Directed virtual reductions

1997
This note defines a new graphical local calculus, directed virtual reductions. It is designed to compute Girard's execution formula EX, an invariant of closed functional evaluation obtained from the “geometry of interaction” interpretation of λ-calculus [5].

Future Directions of Stigma Reduction

2021
Stigma reduction programing has come a long way since the beginning of the 21st century. There has been increased interest in measurement development, which in turn has led to a steady increase in studies examining risk and protective factors for various types of stigma.

Direct reduction and smelting reduction – an overview

Steel Research, 1989
A survey is given on the current state of direct reduction and smelting reduction processes. Several developments, such as coal injection, top‐gas recycling etc., contribute to decrease the coke consumption in the blast furnace. Coal‐based as well as gas‐based direct reduction processes have not succeeded in Western Europe.

Problems in direct reduction

The Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, 1962
AbstractThe status of direct reduction processes for iron production is briefly discussed. More extensive commercial plant operation of these processes appears to depend in part on solution to problems of scale‐up. These problems center around the reactors used, which are either rotary kilns, shaft kilns, or fluid bed units.
