Highly underexpanded rarefied jet flows

A highly underexpanded jet outflow into the background in transition and scattering regimes is studied computationally. The direct simulation Monte Carlo method and Navier–Stokes equations are used. The main parameters’ impact on the jet flow is analyzed.
