Order Ideals on Lexicographic Direct Sum of Three Totally Ordered Abelian Groups
Order ideals play an important role in the study of abstract algebra, especially in the study of ordered groups. In this paper, we focus on the study of order ideals in lexicographic direct sums of totally ordered Abelian groups.

Abstract This paper investigates when a bounded operator on Hilbert space has the property that its square is similar to to the direct sum of it with itself. A few general results are obtained and the normal operators and unilateral shifts having this property are characterized. Several additional examples are explored.

Pseudospectra of the direct sum of linear operators in ultrametric Banach spaces
In this paper, a characterization of essential pseudospectra of bounded linear operators on ultrametric Banach spaces over a spherically complete field was given and the notions of pseudospectra and condition pseudospectra of the direct sum of linear ...

Sum-Power Minimization in Multiuser Single-DF-Relay Networks with Direct Links
Forming cooperation through relay's assistance is a promising method to realize green communication by reducing transmission power. In this paper, for multiuser single-DF-relay wireless networks with direct links, the optimal power allocation strategy ...

AbstractFor classical matroids, the direct sum is one of the most straightforward methods to make a new matroid out of existing ones. This paper defines a direct sum for q-matroids, the q-analogue of matroids. This is a lot less straightforward than in the classical case, as we will try to convince the reader.

Characterization of self-adjoint domains for differential operators with interior singular points
We characterize the self-adjoint domains of general even order linear ordinary differential operators which have finite interior singular points in terms of real-parameter solutions of the differential equation.

On decomposable pseudofree groups
An Abelian group is pseudofree of rank ℓ if it belongs to the extended genus of ℤℓ, i.e., its localization at every prime p is isomorphic to ℤpℓ.
