Reliable Direct Torque Control with Flux Vector Modulation (DTC-FVM) for AC Motors
In this paper a simple method for electric motor control is presented -Direct Torque Control with Flux Vector Modulation (DTC -FVM). The DTC -FVM can be applied for both induction and synchronous machine. This method is based on stator flux vector modulation. Required torque is obtained by control an angle between stator and rotor flux.

In this paper, direct torque control (DTC) of five-phase induction motor is implemented using TMS320LF2407A digital signal processor (DSP). Multi-phase motors are usually designed to have the concentrated winding and non-sinusoidal air-gap flux density distribution in order to maximize the torque per ampere.

This paper investigates reduced cogging torque seen in the Segmented Interior Permanent Magnet (SIPM) machine and explores the effects of cogging torque on direct torque control (DTC) performance. In the segmented IPM machine, the pole magnets are segmented to provide an improved flux-weakening capability to the rotor.

The Next Generation Motor Control Method: Direct Torque Control (DTC)
EPE Journal, 1995AbstractDirect Torque Control (DTC) is the latest AC motor control method developed by ABB, In Direct Torque Control all switch changes are based directly on the electromagnetic state of the motor. Optimum switching is determined for every control cycle on a time level of 25 microseconds.

Novel direct torque control (DTC) scheme with fuzzy adaptive torque-ripple reduction
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2003Investigations were carried out on a novel direct torque control system, which not only reduces the undesirable torque ripple by up to 98% by means of introducing a modulation between the selected active state and a zero state, but also maintains constant switching frequency.

In this paper two different methods of PI controllers for direct torque controlled-space vector modulated induction motor drives have been studied. The first one is simple method based only on symmetric optimum criterion. The second approach takes into account the full model of induction motor including rotor voltage equation and uses root locus method.

Direct torque control of induction motor using space vector modulation (SVM-DTC)
2008 12th International Middle-East Power System Conference, 2008In this study, direct torque control (DTC) of induction motor is evaluated based on space vector modulation (SVM). DTC is a method to control machine with utilizing torque and flux of motor controlled. The torque and current ripple are occurred in the conventional DTC.

Sensorless sliding mode direct torque control (DTC) of induction motor
Proceedings of the IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2005. ISIE 2005., 2005A new approach to sensorless field oriented induction motor (IM) drive with a single loop control, which may correspond to DTC without a switching table, is presented. The proposed algorithm, presented in previous work by the author, is based on discrete-time sliding mode (SM) control theory and obtained by using two identical sliding surfaces with ...
