Optimizing Household Waste Recycling Centre Network Reorganization in Hampshire

open access: yesNetworks, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Local councils across the UK are facing sustained financial pressures, and Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) are being increasingly considered for closure to reduce expenditure. In 2024, Hampshire County Council, which operates the largest HWRC network in the UK, proposed closing either five or twelve existing sites.

Different Stakeholders, Different Pathways: How Capacity Profiles Shape Managerial Priorities for Beneficiaries and Staff in Decision‐Making

open access: yesNonprofit Management and Leadership, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how combinations of organizational capacities shape nongovernmental organization (NGO) managers' prioritization of staff and beneficiaries. While stakeholder theory identifies which stakeholders' interests attract attention, it offers limited guidance on how managers ultimately prioritize among stakeholders in decision ...

KCFuzz: Directed Fuzzing Based on Keypoint Coverage

Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2021
Directed fuzzing, as an efficient method to focus on a specific set of targets in the program, often works better than random fuzzing when combined with a researcher’s empirical judgment. However, the current directed fuzzing work is not efficient enough.

SeededFuzz: Selecting and Generating Seeds for Directed Fuzzing

2016 10th International Symposium on Theoretical Aspects of Software Engineering (TASE), 2016
As an improvement on traditional random fuzzing, directed fuzzing utilizes dynamic taint analysis to locate regions ofseed inputs which can influence security-sensitive program points, and focuses on mutating these identified regions to generate errorrevealingtest cases.

LibAFLGo: Evaluating and Advancing Directed Greybox Fuzzing

2025 IEEE 10th European Symposium on Security and Privacy (EuroS&P)
While greybox fuzzing is routinely applied in production environments with great success, directed greybox fuzzing has struggled to gain real-world adoption - despite the great (intuitive) promise and the many optimizations proposed in literature. In practice, directed fuzzers struggle for three critical issues.

Sequence Directed Hybrid Fuzzing

2020 IEEE 27th International Conference on Software Analysis, Evolution and Reengineering (SANER), 2020
Existing directed grey-box fuzzers are effective compared with coverage-based fuzzers. However, they fail to achieve a balance between effectiveness and efficiency, and it is difficult to cover complex paths due to random mutation. To mitigate the issue, we propose a novel approach, sequence directed hybrid fuzzing (SDHF), which leverages a sequence ...
