Improving the accuracy of a digital spectral correlation-interferometric method of direction finding with analytical signal reconstruction for processing an incomplete spectrum of the signal

open access: yesEastern-European Journal of Enterprise Technologies, 2023
A method of correlation-interferometric direction finding has been improved, which effectively solves the problem of radio direction finding of radio emission sources under conditions of exposure to one or two masking interference. The problem was solved

Wi-Fi Direction Finding With Frequency-Scanned Antenna and Channel-Hopping Scheme

open access: yesIEEE Sensors Journal, 2022
A novel and simple technique for Direction of Arrival (DoA) estimation in 802.11 Wi-Fi networks is proposed. It is based on the use of a dual-port frequency-beam scanning antenna, which is connected to single MIMO access point.

Direction Finding Using Compressive One-Bit Measurements

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, we propose a novel direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation scheme, which is named the compressive one-bit measurement scheme. In the proposed scheme, the one-bit quantization technique is used to reduce the system cost in terms of the analog-

Fast direction finding for bistatic EMVS-MIMO radar without pairing

open access: yesSignal Processing, 2020
In this Communication, we revisit the parameter estimation problem in a bistatic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar system with electromagnetic vector sensors (EMVS), and a modified algorithm is suggested.

Dielectric Resonator Direction Finding Antenna

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2011
The idea of using a cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna for mechanical direction finding and target tracking is presented. The hybrid feeding network of the receiving antenna comprised two ports: one for the broadside-type sum pattern and another ...

Biologically inspired direction‐finding for short baseline

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar & Navigation, 2021
The optimal implementation for a biologically inspired coupling structure to overcome the limitation of short baseline direction‐finding is determined. This approach is inspired by the Ormia ochracea, a parasitoid insect living in North America.

Real time wideband direction finding

open access: yes2015 23nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2015
In this paper, the developed FFT based interferometric direction finding of wideband radar threats for electronic support (ES) and electronic intelligence (ELINT) is presented. Using this method, target radar signal is separated from other radar signals using FFT. Phases of extracted radar signals for two or more channels are calculated.
