Direction of Arrival Estimation with Uniform Planar Array
2017 IEEE 86th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC-Fall), 2017Analog/digital/hybrid beamformer/receiver designs for mmWave communication have attracted great research attentions including directional of arrival (DOA) estimation. Traditional investigation of smart antennas for wireless communications has primarily focused on uniform linear array (ULA) antennas and there are little attention and literature on other

Subspace estimators of direction of arrival
Conference Record of the Thirty-Eighth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2004., 2005We consider in this paper a class of techniques for the estimation of the direction of arrival of a narrowband signal. Eigenvectors of a spectral covariance matrix corresponding to a number of the lowest eigenvalues are used to estimate the bearing. It is shown that the estimator has a non-standard asymptotic distribution.

Direction of Arrival Model for Multipath
3rd International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Trends, Communication, Optimization and Sciences (EEECOS 2016), 2016This paper attempts to model the multipath phenomenon on a sea surface, with primary emphasis on the DOA. The model in this paper considers parameters viz. height of target, height of radar, target range etc., The results of this paper discusses effects of height of target, height of radar, beam width of antenna, slant range of target and the DOA on ...

Wavelet packets-based direction-of-arrival estimation
2004 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2004Wavelet packets-based MUSIC (WP-MUSIC) is proposed to improve the performance of classical MUSIC in scenarios of closely spaced DOA and low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). With WP-MUSIC the fullband signal is decomposed into several subbands by wavelet packets, and then MUSIC is applied to each subband.

Seasonal Variations in Direction of Arrival
1969It is obvious from fig. 8.3 that the scatter of the received bearing directions is very large, especially during the time periods 0300 to 0900 and 1500 to 2100 GMT. Nevertheless, it is possible that some limits to this variation could be indicated by an investigation of the average behaviour over a long period.

Decentralized Direction of Arrival Estimation

Estimation of Direction of Arrival Algorithms
2013MUSIC and ESPRIT algorithms are two of the most widely known and used signal source estimation techniques. This study aims at the comparison of the performances of these two techniques. In this study, the signals coming toward uniform linear antenna arrays are estimated using MUSIC and ESPRIT algorithms.

Direction of Arrival (DOA) Estimation
2019The importance of DOA estimation in radar processing for automotive applications cannot be overstated. It forms the third component of the radar cube: range, velocity, and angle. In practice, DOA estimation is often complicated by the fact that there will be multiple and unknown number of source signals impinging on the receiver array at the same time,
