A method used for estimation of the position of a moving pulse emitter with constant pulse repeat interval by a single observer is studied. The performance of the estimator depends on the emitter trajectory. A specific trajectory that is symmetrical about the closest point of approach is considered.

Shaped sensor for material agnostic Lamb waves direction of arrival (DoA) estimation
2018In this work, a sensor formed by clustering three ad-hoc shaped piezoelectric patches is proposed for guided waves direction of arrival (DoA) estimation in laminate composite and metallic structures. The irregular shaping of the transducer electrodes allows to simplify the signal processing procedures which are necessary to detect the wave DoA.
