Toward Predictable Nanomedicine: Current Forecasting Frameworks for Nanoparticle–Biology Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Predictive models successfully screen nanoparticles for toxicity and cellular uptake. Yet, complex biological dynamics and sparse, nonstandardized data limit their accuracy. The field urgently needs integrated artificial intelligence/machine learning, systems biology, and open‐access data protocols to bridge the gap between materials science and safe ...

Cdma blind channel equalization: a weighted subsface a proach [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
This paper considers the problem of blind demodulation of multiuser information symbols in a direct-sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) environment. Channel estimation and symbol detection in the presence of both multiple access interference

Neural Network–Assisted Metasurface Retroreflector With Wide‐Angle Adaptivity

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
This work proposes a wide‐angle, multi‐polarization, self‐sensing, and self‐adaptive intelligent metasurface retroreflector, with a planar profile and ultrathin thickness. By integrating a pre‐trained artificial neural network (ANN), the metasurface retroreflector can recognize the incident angle and promptly adapt to changes in the incoming wave.

Adaptive Based Beamforming for Direction-of- Arrival (DOA) Estimation

open access: yesCVR Journal of Science & Technology, 2015
Nowadays mobile users require increased coverage, quality of service and capacity in wireless communications. By using adaptive antennas at both transmitter and receiver in wireless communication, we can easily reach the required improvement. In this paper Adaptive Antenna plays a major role to improve the performance of wireless communication systems.

Research progress on the depth of anesthesia monitoring based on the electroencephalogram

open access: yesIbrain, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 32-43, Spring 2025.
Electroencephalogram (EEG) can noninvasive, continuous, and real‐time monitor the state of brain electrical activity, and the monitoring of EEG can reflect changes in the depth of anesthesia (DOA). The development of artificial intelligence can enable anesthesiologists to extract, analyze, and quantify DOA from complex EEG data.

An Improved Propagator Estimator for DOA Estimation in Monostatic MIMO Radar in the Presence of Imperfect Waveforms

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper discusses the direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation problem in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar with non-orthogonal waveforms.

Pickin' up good vibrations: a systematic review of footfall detection and analysis in the realm of wildlife surveying

open access: yesWildlife Biology, EarlyView.
Exploration of new wildlife surveying methodologies that leverage advances in sensor technology and machine learning has led to tentative research into the application of seismology techniques. This, most commonly, involves the deployment of a footfall trap – a seismic sensor and data logger customised for wildlife footfall.

Bayesian CRLB for hybrid ToA and DoA based wireless localization with anchor uncertainty [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we derive the Bayesian Cramér-Rao lower bound for three dimensional hybrid localization using time-of-arrival (ToA) and direction-of-arrival (DoA) types of measurements.

Compressive Sensing for MIMO Radar

open access: yes, 2009
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar systems have been shown to achieve superior resolution as compared to traditional radar systems with the same number of transmit and receive antennas.

Statistically Efficient Methods for Pitch and DOA Estimation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Traditionally, direction-of-arrival (DOA) and pitch estimation of multichannel, periodic sources have been considered as two separate problems. Separate estimation may render the task of resolving sources with similar DOA or pitch impossible, and it may ...
