Phase Change Material‐Driven Tunable Metasurface for Adaptive Terahertz Sensing and Communication in 6G Perceptive Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 12, 9 February 2026.
This study explores the benefits of metasurfaces made from functional materials, highlighting their ability to be adapted and improved for various high‐frequency applications, including communications and sensing. It first demonstrates the potential of these functional material‐based metasurfaces to advance the field of sub‐THz perceptive networks ...

Direction-of-Arrival Estimation Based on Joint Sparsity

open access: yesSensors, 2011
We present a DOA estimation algorithm, called Joint-Sparse DOA to address the problem of Direction-of-Arrival (DOA) estimation using sensor arrays. Firstly, DOA estimation is cast as the joint-sparse recovery problem.

Joint ML calibration and DOA estimation with separated arrays

open access: yes, 2016
This paper investigates parametric direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation in a particular context: i) each sensor is characterized by an unknown complex gain and ii) the array consists of a collection of subarrays which are substantially separated from ...

A Joint Audio-Visual Approach to Audio Localization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Localization of audio sources is an important research problem, e.g.,to facilitate noise reduction. In the recent years, the problem hasbeen tackled using distributed microphone arrays (DMA).

Performance evaluation of direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation algorithms for mobile communication systems [PDF]

open access: yesVTC2000-Spring. 2000 IEEE 51st Vehicular Technology Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37026), 2002
Spatial filtering for mobile communications has attracted a lot of attention over the last decade and is currently considered a very promising technique that will help future cellular networks achieve their ambitious goals. One way to accomplish this is via array signal processing with algorithms which estimate the direction-of-arrival (DOA) of the ...

Multifunctional Microstructured Surfaces by Microcontact Printing of Reactive Microgels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 15, 19 February 2026.
Reactive poly(N‐vinylcaprolactam‐co‐glycidyl methacrylate) microgels are used as functional inks to create surface‐grafted arrays on glass via microcontact printing. The patterns (10–50 µm widths and spacings) enable stable binding and post‐functionalization with dyes and peptides.

Gut Microbiome Dysbiosis is Associated With Human T‐Lymphotropic Virus Type 1 (HTLV‐1) Infection and Disease Progression to HTLV‐1‐Associated Myelopathy/Tropical Spastic Paraparesis: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesSmart Medicine, Volume 5, Issue 1, February 2026.
We provide the first comprehensive analysis of changes in the gut bacteriome at different clinical stages of HTLV‐1 infection. HTLV‐1 infection is associated with a dysbiosis that includes reduced bacterial diversity and an inverted Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio.

Sidelobe Suppression for Robust Beamformer via The Mixed Norm Constraint [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Applying a sparse constraint on the beam pattern has been suggested to suppress the sidelobe of the minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) beamformer recently.

AVCLNet: Multimodal Multispeaker Tracking Network Using Audio‐Visual Contrastive Learning

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 238-255, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Audio‐visual speaker tracking aims to determine the locations of multiple speakers in the scene by leveraging signals captured from multisensor platforms. Multimodal fusion methods can improve both the accuracy and robustness of speaker tracking.
