Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Underdetermined direction-of-arrival estimation using super nested array

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Among various sparse-arrays, super nested array (SNA) is found to be more attractive because it can achieve large degrees-of-freedom (DOFs) and alleviate the mutual coupling. This article address the problem of direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation under

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Direction-of-Arrival Estimation via Coarray With Model Errors

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Direction-of-Arrival (DoA) estimation with Coarray can resolve O(N2) sources via only O(N) physical sensor elements. When it comes to model errors, i.e., manual coupling, gain and/or phase errors, and sensor location errors, whether Coarray is still ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Two Dimensional Direction-of-Arrival Estimation Using Compressive Measurements

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Compressive sensing can effectively reduce the dimension of a signal vector and has been widely used in many areas. Direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation using compressive measurements has gained considerable attention due to the reduction in system ...

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Fast estimation of array shape and direction of arrival using sparse Bayesian learning for manoeuvring towed line array

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar & Navigation
The sparse Bayesian learning (SBL) algorithm has demonstrated its advantage in the direction of arrival (DOA) estimation. However, it requires a lot of computational cost to iteratively estimate the SBL hyperparameters from measurement data.
