A low‐profile wideband spiral antenna with multiple stopbands
A low‐profile spiral antenna with three stopbands (2.55 GHz band, 3.85 GHz band, and 5.45 GHz band) is developed. The stopbands are generated using three pairs of slots cut into the spiral arms.

For the first time, a highly sensitive electrochemical biosensor based on SiO2‐based hairy particles with a grafted PDMAEMA polymer brush containing a quantifiable and large amount of immobilized Laccase is reported. The fabricated biosensor exhibits a sensitivity of 0.14 A·m⁻¹, a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.1 µm, and a detection range of 0.3–750 µm,

Wide-band CEBG-based directive antenna [PDF]
The design and experimental results for a new wide-band (78%) Cylindrical EBG directive antenna are presented. The motivation for this work was the design of an agile antenna for tactical communications systems operating in the band 1.35GHz - 2.7 GHz.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

High Directive Antenna with Virtual Aperture [PDF]
Here we propose a spherical shell-core structure which is able to achieve arbitrarily large directivity. The structure is obtained from coordinate transformation. A small antenna can be projected to free space with a large dimension, which subsequently leads to a large directivity.

The first cryo‐EM visualization and quantification of oriented Photosystem I (PSI) on single‐layer graphene is reported. Domain‐specific covalent anchoring of PSI, with the reducing side of the biophotocatalyst toward graphene, promotes three‐fold higher anodic photocurrent generation compared to a randomly physisorbed counterpart. This approach allows

Planar microstrip YAGI antenna array [PDF]
A directional microstrip antenna includes a driven patch surrounded by an isolated reflector and one or more coplanar directors, all separated from a ground plane on the order of 0.1 wavelength or less to provide end fire beam directivity without ...

Tractable yet effective approximation to directional antenna array for millimeter-wave networks
The complexity of the actual antenna pattern imposes restrictions on investigating the benefits of directional antenna arrays in large-scale networks.Hence,a novel multi-level flat-top antenna pattern was proposed to approximate and simplify the actual ...
