Cement phases are good materials for radiative cooling thanks to the selective emissivity in IR ATW. Cement powders have high reflectance of solar radiation which reduces the thermal losses. The onset of the absorption curves is defined by bound excitons. Sulfates have higher radiated powers and reflectance than calcium silicates.

Early Myelination Supports the Establishment of Consistent Handedness
Early compact myelin is essential for the establishment but not the maintenance of consistent paw preference in mice. Congenital myelin absence reduces lateralization and creates a leftward bias, underscoring a developmental role in shaping brain asymmetries. ABSTRACT Lateralization of brain functions, such as handedness, is thought to enhance cortical

In utero ventriculosubgaleal shunt placement in a fetal lamb model: Phase 1 technical insights
Abstract Background Progressive ventriculomegaly and the resulting irreversible brain damage may be mitigated through timely diversion prenatal intervention. While ventriculosubgaleal shunt (VSGS) is commonly performed postnatally in premature infants, in utero placement is unexplored.

Uncertainties exist in the biosphere–climate feedbacks in the Arctic. Remote and ground measurements play complementary roles in detecting possible changes. A critical next step is identification of key drivers of the global changes for future projections. ABSTRACT Positive biosphere–climate feedbacks are likely to amplify the Arctic warming, yet major

ABSTRACT Humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) from breeding stock A migrate annually between Antarctic feeding grounds (~65° S) and Brazilian breeding areas (~17° S). Traditionally considered to fast during migration, recent feeding observations and increased strandings along southeastern Brazil (~23° S) raise questions about possible shifts in ...
