Social modulation of object-directed but not image-directed actions

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2018
There has recently been an increased research focus on the influence of social factors on human cognition, attention, and action. While this represents an important step towards an ecologically valid description of real-world behaviour, this work has primarily examined dyads interacting with virtual stimuli i.e. on-screen images of objects.

4D‐Printed Magneto‐Plasmonic Microrobots for Programmable Spatiotemporal De‐Icing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 4D‐printing strategy is introduced to achieve programmable de‐icing devices. By aligning gold–magnetite nanofillers within a photosensitive resin, the printed structures exhibit dual magnetic and plasmonic functionalities, enabling precise spatio‐temporal ice removal through thermoplasmonic effects.

Microenvironmental Reprogramming by 3D Anisotropic Cardiac Extracellular Matrix Induces Nuclear Remodeling and Epigenetic Maturation of Chemically Induced Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

On directional modulation: An analysis of transmission scheme with multiple directions

open access: yes2015 IEEE International Conference on Communication Workshop (ICCW), 2015
Increasing the spectral efficiency was always the motivation behind the evolution of wireless communication systems. Also, due to the widespread usage of wireless systems, securing the transmitted data rises as a main concern nowadays. Hereby, we introduce a scheme that increases the capacity of wireless systems by transmitting multiple independent ...

Meniscus Pixel Printing for Contact‐Lens Vision Sensing and Robotic Control

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A visual‐sensing contact lens is enabled by meniscus pixel printing (MPP), which rapidly patterns a 200 µm perovskite photodetector pixel in 1 s without masks, vacuum processing, or bulky equipment. A deep‐learning‐based super‐resolution reconstructs sparse on‐lens signals into 80 × 80 high‐resolution visual information, while AI‐driven eye‐tracking ...

Oxygen‐Tunnel Indium Tin Oxide Vertical Channel Transistors with Enhanced Current Density and Reliability for Monolithic 3D Compute‐In‐Memory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection

Multi-user directional modulation with reconfigurable holographic surfaces

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking
Large intelligent surfaces arise as an emerging technology and critical building block for sixth-generation (6G) wireless networks. Reconfigurable holographic surfaces (RHSs) have been attracting significant attention recently as active antenna arrays ...

Modulating Iridium Electronic Structure With High‐Valent Metal Doping for Efficient and Durable Acidic Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We synthesized a novel IrCuOx/MnO2 heterostructure co‐doped with high‐valent W and Mo atoms, achieving exceptional acidic stability and high mass activity. Owing to the synergistic effects of structural and electronic modulation, cooperative charge redistribution occurs across both the interface and the lattice.
