Array factor directivity for interference scenarios [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The concept of array factor directivity is revised in order to propose a new well-suited definition for scenarios dominated by interference. A novel directivity measure is proposed including the interference that is caused to un-intended receivers.

On directivity of a circular array with directional microphones [PDF]

open access: yes2016 IEEE International Workshop on Acoustic Signal Enhancement (IWAENC), 2016
Circular microphone arrays have a broad range of applications in teleconferencing and hands-free telecommunication systems. Directional microphones are extensively used to construct the circular arrays to obtain superior sound quality. However, the 360-degree coverage ability of this type of circular arrays is seldom investigated.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

On the Directivity of Railway Noise Sources [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This dissertation deals with the directivity of railway noise. The directivity of railway noise is of particular importance when we have high-rise buildings close to the track, tunnel openings, partial barriers, or when we calculate the maximum sound ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Directivity of basic linear arrays [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
For a linear uniform array ofnelements, an expression is derived for the directivity as a function of the spacing and the phase constants. The cases of isotropic elements, collinear short dipoles, and parallel short dipoles are included.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Sum Vector-Difference-Based Matching Area Selection Method for Underwater Gravity-Aided Navigation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
For underwater gravity matching navigation, matching area selection has a significant impact on navigation accuracy. Since the changes of gravity anomaly between grids of gravity background map is different, when the underwater vehicle passes through the
