Weyl group multiple Dirichlet series constructed from quadratic characters [PDF]

open access: yesInventiones Mathematicae, 2006
We construct multiple Dirichlet series in several complex variables whose coefficients involve quadratic residue symbols. The series are shown to have an analytic continuation and satisfy a certain group of functional equations.

Murmurations of Dirichlet Characters

open access: yesInternational Mathematics Research Notices
Abstract We calculate murmuration densities for two families of Dirichlet characters. The first family contains complex Dirichlet characters normalized by their Gauss sums. Integrating the first density over a geometric interval yields a murmuration function compatible with experimental observations.

PERIODIC TWISTS OF $\operatorname{GL}_{3}$-AUTOMORPHIC FORMS

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2020
We prove that sums of length about $q^{3/2}$ of Hecke eigenvalues of automorphic forms on $\operatorname{SL}_{3}(\mathbf{Z})$ do not correlate with $q$-periodic functions with bounded Fourier transform.

Intelligent radar software defect classification approach based on the latent Dirichlet allocation topic model

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2021
Existing software intelligent defect classification approaches do not consider radar characters and prior statistics information. Thus, when applying these appaoraches into radar software testing and validation, the precision rate and recall rate of ...

Comparing human coding to two natural language processing algorithms in aspirations of people affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

open access: yesJournal of Methods and Measurement in the Social Sciences, 2022
Qualitative methods can enhance our understanding of constructs that have not been well portrayed and enable nuanced depiction of experience from study participants who have not been broadly studied.

Integer factoring and compositeness witnesses

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2020
We describe a reduction of the problem of factorization of integers n ≤ x in polynomial-time (log x)M+O(1) to computing Euler’s totient function, with exceptions of at most xO(1/M) composite integers that cannot be factored at all, and at most x exp −cM ...

Central values of derivatives of Dirichlet L-functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Let C(q,+) be the set of even, primitive Dirichlet characters (mod q). Using the mollifier method we show that L^{(k)}(1/2,chi) is not equal to zero for almost all the characters chi in C(q,+) when k and q are large.

Double Dirichlet series and quantum unique ergodicity of weight 1/2 Eisenstein series [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The problem of quantum unique ergodicity (QUE) of weight 1/2 Eisenstein series for {\Gamma}_0(4) leads to the study of certain double Dirichlet series involving GL2 automorphic forms and Dirichlet characters.

Real zeros of quadratic Dirichlet L-functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We show that for a positive proportion of real primitive Dirichlet characters chi, the associated Dirichlet L-function L(s,chi) has no zeros on the positive real axis.

Joint universality of Dirichlet L-functions and periodic Hurwitz zeta-functions

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2012
In the paper, we prove that every system of analytic functions can be approximated simultaneously uniformly on compact subsets of some region by a collection consisting of shifts of Dirichlet L-functions with pairwise non-equivalent characters and ...
