Multiple Dirichlet series associated to additive and Dirichlet characters
This paper grew out of Chapter 5 of my Ph.D. thesis (2016). My thesis can be found in https://www.imsc.res.in/xmlui/bitstream/handle/123456789/390/HBNI%20Th103.pdf?sequence ...

Dirichlet expression for L(1, χ) with general Dirichlet character
In the famous work of Dirichlet on class number formula, L(s, χ) at s = 1 has been expressed as a finite sum, where L(s, χ) is the Dirichlet L-series of a real Dirichlet character. We show that this expression with obvious modification is valid for the general primitive Dirichlet character χ.

Quantifying Model Selection Uncertainty in Structural Analysis: Methodology and Application
ABSTRACT With increasing focus on complex engineering systems under rare events, computational models are critical for predictions due to the scarcity or absence of data. However, selecting an appropriate model can be challenging. Using a single model without available test calibration could result in significant bias in performance predictions. A case

Mine‐water immersion tests reveal pronounced coal weakening (vs. minor concrete degradation), identifying coal pillars as the stability‐limiting component in composite dams. A coupled FEINN framework quantifies extreme‐pressure stability and ranks multi‐parameter designs via a normalized multi‐indicator scheme, enabling optimized dam configuration for ...

Fekete polynomials of principal Dirichlet characters
Fekete polynomials associated to quadratic Dirichlet characters have interesting arithmetic properties, and have been studied in many works. In this paper, we study a seemingly simpler yet rich variant: the Fekete polynomial F_n(x) = ∑_a=1^n χ_n(a) x^a associated to a principal Dirichlet character χ_n of modulus n. We investigate the cyclotomic factors

Local Polynomial Regression and Filtering for a Versatile Mesh‐Free PDE Solver
A high‐order, mesh‐free finite difference method for solving differential equations is presented. Both derivative approximation and scheme stabilisation is carried out by parametric or non‐parametric local polynomial regression, making the resulting numerical method accurate, simple and versatile. Numerous numerical benchmark tests are investigated for

CM newforms with rational coefficients
We classify newforms with rational Fourier coefficients and complex multiplication for fixed weight up to twisting. Under the extended Riemann hypothesis for odd real Dirichlet characters, these newforms are finite in number.

Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is a heterogeneous inflammatory condition. Dysbiosis is commonly observed. This study identified distinct sinonasal microbial communities in CRSwNP patients and explored their clinical and pathological associations. Two distinct microbial communities were identified: community type 1 (CT1), dominated by

New Drain Spacing Formulas Using the Variational Iteration Method
ABSTRACT In this study, the drain spacing is computed using the variational iteration method (VIM) to the linearized Boussinesq equation. By applying at most two iterations of the VIM method under three different initial condition scenarios, three equations for drain spacing calculation were derived. These equations predict values of drain spacing that
